As one of the 10 greatest scorers as well as arguably the most efficient scorer in NBA History.
There should be more conversation around and recognition for a player of his caliber.
This video serves as a means to highlight this NBA great.

how the fuck did bro not make the 75th anniversary
I think you could make the same argument for Alex English. He got off to a rocky start to his career, first playing for the Bucks and then the Pacers but when he got to the Nuggets he exploded, to the point where he became the greatest scorer of the 1980s (more points than Bird, Kareem, Jordan, Dantley or Mark Aguirre), averaging about 25 games for a decade. However, like Dantley, English was overshadowed by the fact that the Showtime Lakers in the Western Conference were simply better, and that the Nuggets played no defense (though English himself was a decent defender at the small forward spot). Plus, and the fact that English's game was very boring and robotic in that he took midrange jumpshot after midrange jumpshot with startling efficiency, shooting 50% from the field for his career.
Bernard king is the goat, I was shocked when you mentioned him he's so underrated. I also think Bob McAdoo in his (short) prime was pretty unstoppable as well. Great video, earned a sub for me
I thought you were gonna say Alex English. Adrian was cold but didn’t really gel well in Detroit unfortunately
This vid sum Jimi level shizzle. Subscribed.
I love videos like these.🔥👍🏼
Damn. All good.
Before I watch. Lou Will.
Jeezus
I love that Adrian is finally getting the love he deserves, I was scrolling through the list of players with highest career points and stumbled across him because I had never heard of him and he had over 60% true shooting, found out that he is one of 6 players to average over 30 ppg 4 times and yet he never gets talked about
I think that lack of postseason success allowed him to be forgotten quicker than others. It's like that quote on how in the NBA, "legends are made in the postseason." When you think of Jordan and Kobe's best moments, it's always playoff moments. Someone like Lebron has a plethora of legendary performances like 2007 game 5 Detroit, 2012 game 6 Celtics, last 3 games of the 2016 finals, 2018 finals game 1. That adds to a player's mystique and legend and continues the discussion and memory of them after they're retired, just like you stated in the beginning of the video.
One good thing about the analytics movement though, is that a lot of underrated players that deserved to be recognized and appreciated more than they did, are finally getting their due like Dantley.
called it
I thought of Elgin Baylor first (one of the most overlooked & underrated NBA players of all time), and Oscar Robertson second.
I used to really like to watch A.D. play, but didn’t think of him.
I thought you were going to say Alex English
I was thinking of Kareem.
U learn something new evevryday
It’s Dantley
He decoded scoring completely. He had a method and it was more complete and more effective at getting results (putting ball in hoop) than any other player. 4 seasons 30+ppg at 55%+ is S Tier
I actually thought of Adrian Dantley. I figured it was either him or Alex English, but most NBA fans would think of English.
He was a more efficient James Harden
Thought you were going to give us Gervin or even John Drew, each of whom had ELITE career regular-season points per minute stats.
Alex English
Ngl the black screens are annoying when watching at night but you’ve got good content in this video
He's forgotten because he had a boring game as well as playing for the Jazz and not having much success in the playoffs. he also didn't win any major award like an MVP or a ring in his prime
James Worthy,Kevin McHale,Vinny "The Microwave" Johnson, Drazen Petrovich, Skip to my Lou, Dominique Wilkins just to name a few more
“Game Point” thank you for making this video we would of never thought of him. Keep going with your channel we are going ti make sure to check out your videos make sure not to stop your on to something really great 💯💯💯
AD was my next guess once you mentioned all the scorers. I thought it was Tmac at first.
Thanks!
I was thinking Alex English but Dantley was a better scorer
He did have playoff success in Detroit should have beaten my team thanks to the phantom foul on Kareem and Isaiah getting hurt
