Ver Vídeo: The Big Short's Steve Eisman on Risks of a Global Recession
Sep.09 — Steve Eisman, senior portfolio manager at Eisman Group Neuberger Berman, discusses the prospect of a global industrial slowdown turning into a recession and the transmission mechanism of Federal Reserve policy to the U.S. economy. He speaks on “Bloomberg Surveillance.”
He was wrong the world is coming to an end!
The banks are much healthier??? Did he seriously just say that. I can’t believe this guy is revered as sone economic genius lol
IM NOT A DICTATOR. IM THE MOST HONEST MAN ON EARTH AND TO PURE OF A HEART FOR YOU TO TOUCH.
Thumbs up if you’re watching this during this stock market crash
If the banks are in good shape , who is the fed bailing out with the 190 billion a day ? What the hell is going on?
The moderator should smile more 🙂
Oh yea I feel so much better hearing the financial system is a lot healthier than it was in the past. LMFAO Just keep drinking the koolaid, its good for you… 😉
How’s that CIBC short going there big guy??
An imaginary recession
When?
Long Bitcoin!
Well US economic growth has been over 5% recently. There are ratings firms that didnt even have that high of a rating on their scale.
But, lowering the corp tax rate, this should be expected. And will continue.
I dont see how the lefty idiots/liars in the media were saying we may be going into a recession…politics?
When in doubt get out
Bloody Australian Government are attempting to FORCE EVERYONE who gets a benefit/pension into using a government cash card, where yes you can pay your rent, car payments electricity gas etc on said card BUT & HERE'S THE BIG BUT! You can only get access to 20% of your entitlements as cash! So you have worked hard, own your home, gone solar off grid, you own your car, don't use gas! what happens to all that money that you don't have access to? BASTARDS WON'T ANSWER THAT ONE! FASCIST MONGRELS! We will be penalised severely for living a frugal life!
Go to cash….ha ha…keep panicking while my shares of Roku, BYND, amzn, msft keep going up
Banks are better because the fed took all the toxic assets
At some point you have to cease resuscitation and call time of death. WE are going back to the gold standard like it or not.
Banks don’t have a blow out and are much stronger than before? How is that possible when they are all bankrupt 10 times over and governments and people around the world have such massive debts they will never even come close to be paid off?
When you see that guy pulling a new boat with a Ford King Ranch. I don't believe he paid cash for both. Keeping up with your neighbors will have you just like them. Broke as hell.
Financially system safer then ever? Yeah ok ?
The end is near 😈😈😈
If the people on the bottom whom could use access to that type of money. They don't get it just the fat cats on top. Who continually lie about it trickling down. It's the one's in the squalor that need it but will never receive it.
I love how that reporter chick in UK always gives a smile after asking a question .
We are fucked. The longer we put off this bubble (ie QE, lowering interest rates, printing money) the worst the out come. Dr. Michael Barry, credited for identifying the housing bubble of 2007, has identified an index fund bubble. We are at the peak. Stay in cash, be ready to buy cheap. Investors already dumping growth stocks. There’s blood in the water.
The first one that I have heard express at least one of the root causes "global over capacity". And no, you are not going to solve that with lower rates.
While I respect this man and all of his knowledge. He doesn’t seem to discuss the Freakin MASSIVE DEBT ISSUE.. will the pensions be ok? Corporate debt? Government debt? Students debt? Auto debt? Credit card debt? Shall I continue??? If he is just look at the banks and their balance sheets let’s look at the consumer and hyperinflation brother!!! People will be slaughtered
Put your money into Full Reserve Banking.
He's lying things have never been better job wise in the hood. 😠😠😠
Things are very bad out there. Nobody is spending even after helicopter money and almost 0 borrowing costs. I don’t know what markets will do in the next week, month or quarter but I do know that the next 5 years will be an utter catastrophe and nothing will be spared. Bad debt (which is everywhere) needs to get wiped out and the system needs to restart on a clean sheet of paper. Watch the VIX and take some short positions accordingly…
recession? it's about having to shut down most of the global industrial economy to avoid extinction. October 7 will be here very very soon.
These interviews are so worthless. It's like if on a football broadcast you had an analyst saying "some big people are now coming onto the field. And they're wearing helmets and padding. That's all I can tell you about the future today".
This is the guy Steve Carell portrayed in that movie? Wow, he seems like just another establishment shill to me. If he doesn't know that we're going into a bad deflationary depression in the months ahead he is not even close to the character in the movie. He says the banks are in much better shape? What nonsense, the banks are doing badly despite tons of support from the Fed. This guy is probably working for one of the banks right now.
Cheap debt in 2003 caused the GFC and in 2010 it was the start for the Australian housing bubble. When you flood the economy with cheap debt it causes the market to invest in speculation which in the case of the Australian housing market has placed home ownership around 3 times more than wage growth would realistically accommodate for. In Australia shops cannot make a profit and the population cannot spend in shops due to high rent or loan repayments. Looking at the story behind the story behind the story, it looks like a way to stop the rise of China, make western populations poor so they cannot afford Chinese products. Thanks to the central banks for the cheap debt and controlled inflation, which is a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
Hey China and Russia throwing their hat into Iran and usurping the Petrodollar, yes there will be currency wars!
Buying precious metals. Made a youtube channe. Metal bum
People who work for the money management companies will never be total doom and gloom…. because they have to keep selling their services
this guy needs to stop looking at credit to gdp and looking at the debt that companies are holding, most dont even have earnings, its just a ponzi scheme, putting money on one side taking it out on the other asking mary to pay paul.
Could it be that everyone has borrowed into oblivion?
Never trust a man who wears a bow tie….
