This past week was, well, pretty much ridiculous to try and squeeze down. I’m not even sure where to start. Loads of updates at Starbase Texas including new SpaceX Starship Fire! WOAH, that top down footage was unreal. New insights found from the flight a few days ago at Starbase Florida. But outside… man. This was crazy. Artemis 1 Orion Returns back home, the HAKUTO-R Moon Lander now on its way to land on the moon. That mission includes another spectacular return to landing site. What is better than that? Well, another two more of them of course. Falcon 9 SWOT mission, Ariane 5 launch boosting satellites to orbit. You name it. This week, we’ve got it and even more. Enough of this into, lets just stuck into it.

Just wanted to say that I really enjoy your videos and the education that comes with. I hope great things for you and yours in the new year and keep up the good work mate. Ben, from the U.S. of A.
Thanks Marcus
We are on the edge! Great things
It seems like an order of magnitude decrease in the cost to orbit has prompted an order of magnitude increase in activity.
Thanks!
Everyone is trying to be flash gorden
What a waste of money
Like your work.

Hey Marcus Hapoy and Healthy Holidays to you and yours!
Thanks for making 2022 an amazing year with your outstanding videos! I enjoy every one and appreciate the fact that every episode is so well prepared and presented. I wish you all the very best for the New Year. Keep the great videos coming please. Thank You!
looks fake
Great update!
Let me start by prefrencing that I am not very educated so yea… Feel free to tell me how wrong I am. LoL. I have seen videos about space elevators being used to go to space from the ground. I have also seen a video that talked about (basically) grabbing a small asteroid and enveloping it in some sort of sheath. Then spinning it till the rubble lines the walls and makes it a hollow tube. Then using the tube as a starting point for building a larger structure. Wanted to throw out an idea that my three brain cells have been kicking around for a bit now and see if I am dumb or does it have any merit to it by offering it up on a place where people much smarter then me might go. The main problem with space cables/elevators is that we can't build that high due to the limitations of the materials we have. What if we only built it to about 70% of the way. A large structure in space with a similar cable in orbit could gradually lower it's self (or just the cable) and pluck the stuff from the earth based structure and pull it the rest of the way to space. I think the size and mass of the orbiting body should be able to lift large amounts of stuff by just increasing it's relive speed and pulling its self back into a higher orbit. At the right height gravity should be minimum with it's pull and lifting from space should be easier. I know I am most likely wrong but IDK.
Fundamental Error. . . . It Can't Launch! Once landed on the moon or Mars it will be stuck. I NEEDS the launch pad to raise it or it will blow the skirting and motors off. Is to low to the ground for an "'off the ground" launch. Look at the CEMENT under the tower today.. Do the math..
Another Great round u Marcus. Thanks for all your hard work
Around 12:35 you talk about the skip re-entry being the first time ever done. I'm sure you're right. However, I was 9 at the time of Apollo 11, completely engrossed in the whole venture, made a scrapbook of newspaper clippings & build-it-yourself cardboard lunar lander sadly lost. And, I recall "knowing" that the command module would bounce once off the top of the atmosphere before the final reentry. It had to be exact, or else (a) too steep and they burn up or (b) too shallow and they would fly off, lost, into solar orbit. Why would 9-year-old me have known that if it wasn't part of the narrative of the time? Can you explain?
We MUST be the first back to the moon and then to Mars!
What a Stellar Week in space Updated for another week. Thank you and all the Contributors!
I saw the exhaust plume from that Falcon 9 booster launching from Florida here in Columbia South Carolina it was a beautiful clear night and that was a sight to see
I love the idea of Starshield.
Another musk failed space crap-crap and crap! Lol Musk fly high backward.
Aaaaand Blue Origin continues to be a joke, just like the rings of power…
SpaceX is just crushing it. So many successful launches and landings with global customers. Amazing.
Nice views of the world's largest trash can, which will buckle and blow up, if it ever gets cleared to attempt flight. Looking forward to the big blast!
@marcushouse Let me know when you hear about the starship orbital launch 🚀 🥱
Marcus House to the Moon or we riot.
Thank you Marcus and crew
Hi Marcus.
Could you do a really in-depth view of the inflatable heat shield that was tested with the Artemis one launch because it seems to be missed by so many people and it’s so important.
RTLS Return To Launch Site surely? By definition every landing is a return to Landing site!
Why did Elon Musk spend 44 Billion on a stupid app instead of adding that money to the space program?
Sweet jesus starship is becoming the new JW telescope. launch……. in 15 years
Does it bother anyone that Musk's construction, test and launch site is more or less surrounded by nature preserves?
Cant really enjoy anything Musk related right now, we must not condone nazis.
Too bad it's all just a distraction for the sheeple to keep them from figuring out what the globalists are really up to.
Marcus. Again a great info video. You are one off the rare people that keeps us informed. Missing Scott Manley as you will do. People who can inform the rest of the planer in a non complex form. Due to the complex talk many people will say "I don't understand it" You use text in a comprehensive context. Salute to you. I speak for other people. In my case it can be not complex be enough and still understand it all. And yes…… I love that Star Trek stuff as you do….. 😉
I really hope this does not turn into an Artemis project. Just seems to have come to a very slow progression point.
Best of luck to the mission.
Do we have an guess on when starship might take its first flight?
