1. They always say robots will do the jobs "we don't want to do", but they never say next what those people without those jobs will be doing, and that's because it's starving and then dying, in that order.

So basically the only genuinely “New” feature Is They put hands on a Relatively slow robot I can understand that I can be difficult to have running in conjunction and its Neat that they got it to be coordinated But everything else already exists; just look up atlas from Boston dynamics which does parkour and Could probably out run you while also being surprisingly coordinated even though it’s obviously not a fair comparison because it’s not Meant to be consumer product that doesn’t excuse the fact that Tesla is trying to pass this off at some grand Innovation When there isn’t even a market because people won’t buy something this expensive When it doesn’t even have a clear-cut use that wouldn’t be done by some other piece of technology Also do you really want this thing running around your house unattended?

8. There have been many inventions that have not seen light of day because they were not commercially viable. Comparing to Boston Dynamics robots is unfair …. their technology is very expensive, therefore only afforded by military and business.
   A robot built for mass retail market will have to be cheap enough and yet useful enough !

18. Perfect occasion to recommend you to look at NimbRo's Cosero solving the same tasks back in 2012 just much faster (on wheels, but Cosero costs a little tiny fraction of one of Optimus' fingers net worth).

    That said, this is the first time I see anyone presenting a black faced-robot, surprising since robots are normally white or colorful. Likewise couldn't but notice that all technicians are Caucasians. For real? In Tesla? Aren't rocket-scientists at the tippity-top of the engineering ladder like a weird mix of Indians, Asians, Slavs and Latinos? I normally don't give a single F about that stuff, but after a decade or RoboCup it really looks weird to see that even setup.

    10 Minutes ? 20 Minutes or even 30 Minutes ?
    Lot of prozessors and accurators costs lot of energy, such robots need to have an eletricity-generator, that makes noise and smoke…or the akuu last only half an hour…

    Can it climb up stairs ? Can it go down to my cellar and pick some potatoes and a bottle of beer ? Or is it necessary that a team of four programmers digitalizes my cellar in a four week projekt ?
    FORGET IT AT ALL. Never will be mankind able to build REAL Robots that can help in every situation. It's not possible…one point is the high energy conumption…

    but my six year old couin can do this things without any problems….

30. Elon knows that it will be developed with or without him. This is his way of staying in front of it and trying to keep controls in place for it during development. AI will become self aware eventually, that corner has been turned no matter what we think or do.
