So…want to give us any details. Temperature, length of cooking time. How long to rest it. Anything?
Why would someone poison a tomahawk steak with vegetable oil or grapeseed oil?
2mins to sear each side then 15-20 for rare medium rare in oven at 180-200 c
I had one of htese in the freezer. Waitrose your chef needs to give cooking times and temps not vauge finger pinching.
what is the temperature in oven? thank you
This meant to be a video for an everyday Joe who wants to cook it at home – but where are the instructions? What's the oven temp? Average cooking time per 1kg? Suggested serving, e.g. medium/medium rare.Disappointing
What a completely pointless video, seriously WTF was the point 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏻♂️
So good ❤
Please don't use rapeseed oil, vegetable oil or sunflower oil, they're all super inflammatory and really unhealthy for you.
Chimichurri doesn’t normally have shallots in it? I prefer to reverse seat my tomahawks. They turn out so much better in my opinion.
Waitrose please advise of even rough times or heat or weight etc guidance
I couldn't give a damn about the Chimmy chumb chumb. Time and heat of the oven please – very silly
Literally the worst tutorial ever
You lost me with the oregano.
So here’s how I did this……. It was probably the best thing I have cooked!
1. Leave steak out for 90mins at room temperature, oil and season with salt and pepper. Make sure you dry it first on some kitchen towel.
2. Put 3 tablespoons of butter in a bowl, microwave for 10 seconds- it should look like lumpy butter soup (trust me its golden) add to this salt, pepper, dash of Olive Oil and 3 stalks of chopped rosemary and 3 cloves of minced garlic.
3. Get a roasting tray that can go on the hob up to screaming temp and then sear the steak both sides ( around 3 mins each).
4 oven at 180 degrees C (fan). Brush top with butter mixture and back from 11 mins. Turn and flip, cover with butter mixture and bake for another 11 mins.
4, transfer to foil lined baking tray with butter mixture on the bottom and the rest for 10 mins covering with foil. Should come out medium rare.
How to cook like a Jedi.
The best cut for a steak put some fries, asparagus, macncheese(crusty) a meal fitting for a king. For real tho if u really want a steak get this cut or hanger(if at home) as i haven't seen a steakhouse serving that
HOW LONG IN THE OVEN
Flucking hell
This is how to do it according to the the Waitrose packaging, which you would have had if you had bought it from them, but obviously not if you got it from another retailer. I used these instructions and they worked well – but you still need to check for doneness as steaks vary in size and ovens in performance.
After searing approx. 2 mins on each side: Oven temp 200ºC, Fan 180ºC, Gas 6 (If you like ºF you can convert accordingly)
15-20 mins Rare
20-25 mins Medium
35+ mins Well done
Rest the joint for 10 mins before serving

No info on how long to cook the steak for, no info on the temperature the oven should be at!!!
Parsley? Parsley? Get outa here.
Its cilantro (coriander) all day long for the best Chimichurri sauce.
Useless no oven times or temperatures, still it is Waitrose, never again!
What a bizarre video
