so do i need to add comissions to my stop loss? or does it come out of my account when i enter and exit the trade?
On the question of commissions. I've been trying to figure out how to set up Tradingview with a proper commission for accurate practice. Binance says it has .075 commissions. Is that round trip, meaning half on open and half on close? So I would set TV with .0375%? Or is that the full amount on both open and close? If thats on open and close, I don't understand how anyone can make money at all on trading. The sheer amount that it compounds your losses while also eating away your wins is insane. At 0.75 I have to make a 1:1 trade or better just to cover the commissions for that trade, nevermind extra to cover future losses.
What broker do you use for your commission account?
I dont understand one thing about commission. If I make let's say $2 profit on a trade but commission is $5 I'm losing $3. Am I missing something?
If you're looking to make $10 per trade would commissions still be better than spread?
As a Forex newbie, I was unaware of this. Thanks for this vital information.
understood. thank you sir
Wait, doesn't shorting enter into the bid, and exit Into the ask? Isn't the chart the history of the bid line's position? So, opening a short isn't across the spread, but closing a short would be?
So for example if asuuming we have a fixed account how much would cost to enter and exit a trade with this fixed structure pricing on forex.com? I am looking for a brokerage account to open in Europe, Finland and forex.com is an option for me.
Nailed this 👏👏👏👏.. I was literally just deciding
I have a spreadsheet that I use for backtesting that adds in all the spread costs. I found the historic spreads on oanda, which are pretty consistent, and plug those in for each currency pair. What's important is that you add the spread on both sides of the trade for every trade including losers. Spread vs no spread backtesting can have massively different results, especially on more exotic pairs and anything under 20 pip stop loss.
Trading higher T/F with commission instead of spread is the best.
When you set your SL and TP, do you suck up the spread or do you add the 1.5 (or whatever) on top of the spread? So for example, SL is 10 pips, spread is 4 pips, do you factor against 10 pips or 14 pips?
i like commissions simply because its easier to manage for ne
Merry Christmas and a happy new year
What is the best way to recommend a strategy to test
How good do you think the hedging strategy is?
Spread affects not only entry, but exits as well.
Overall good channel, I like it. In this video important topic, everything is true, but I think that you made 1 mistake. For bearish entry, you showed that because of spread they will displace your entry for value of spread and it's true, but you showed that they will move your position in bearish direction. Isn't it vice versa? They will put you away from your goal (take profit) not closer to it, right? The same mistake I noticed for bullish entry.
i have a question about spreads i have a standard account,i would like to know how do i find out what my spreads are as there is not enough information that my broker does not share on there website they say as low as 0.8 for standard accounts how would i determine if my spreads are low or high when i trade currency pairs also they don't have a spread sheet like what you show for all currency's
Thanks you so Much 👏👏👏👏👏👏
Nice explanation👌
At what time higher frame do you think it is actually now a better idea to trade with spreads instead of commissions or do you think it is always better with commissions?
