In this video we see some very dark, dry, hard earwax adhered to the ear canal wall. Whilst it’s not totally blocking the ear or causing a hearing loss, it was causing the patient some discomfort so there was a clinical need to remove it. This possibly happened due to the patient using a cotton bud, pushing the wax deeper into the ear and compressing it, rendering it unable to migrate out naturally. Instruments used: Jobson Horne, Zoellner suction tube, Fine End suction tip.

I have been watching your videos for over two hours actually longer I started around 5:30 and it is now 8:00 a.m. in Southern California! 🤣💜
“That right there is a thing of beauty, it’s almost like a well oiled blackberry” “that.. that is weird actually” 😂😂 I love your videos! My 4month old son does too btw, probably your youngest fan!
Wouldn’t the oil trap bacteria? How to be sure all oil removed ?

Love the tank!
Can't use evoo?
Thanks. I like the tank shots. I have a strange question. Do you empty the tank between patients or at the end of the day? Love your explanations. Great job 👏🏻
Ur absolutely gorgeous
😀 love your videos
Connor: Look away if you find this kind of thing totally disgusting.
Nobody watching a video like this: Looks away.
I was fine until you popped it in your mouth at the end.
This…might have happened to me. Just got done hitting my right ear with some ear drops, rubbed it aggressively to take out the ear wax and it was this dark. I don't have any other symptoms other than my right ear getting blocked from time to time, it usually gets pretty bad every 6 months or so. Goes away with time (about a week or so if I'm disciplined enough to not rub the crap out of my ear lol) but it might lead to something permanent if I don't do something. What should I do?
This is the first time watching any of your videos. I liked it so much that I subscribed. You are fantastic! Your narrative is very clear and informative. I look forward to watching more of your work.
Job does look hard to do.
Good job! enJoyed the knowledge for what you are doing at the time 👏🏽👏🏽
That's a mighty groovy video!
Loved the way you described the ear anatomy! Also love that Rhys comments on your vids 😆
awesome!
Thank you Dr. Connor 😁 This is the first video I've seen that shows the tank and the tools outside of the ear. I was surprised at how small the suction tube actually is. Very enjoyable!
thank you connor
Does the little bit of oil left in cause any temporary deafness or just drain out during sleep or something?
You are brilliant! Love this! New subscription here. It’s nice that you show everything 😊 and teach too. Excellent!
Oh my word! What a gorgeous audiologist!!
Great job thank you.
What a fantastic start to the day! Thank you Connor!x
Something I find very interesting about your videos that I haven't seen on other channels is that your resume is so close that were able to see the tiny veins throughout the ear. This confirms to me when you speak of house 10 the skin is as you get farther into the canal and how easy the slightest little movement can cause it to bleed. I also had a question. A person would assume that deep in the ear we wouldn't get that much light yet this piece of Wax was so very dark is it the light that causes the oxidization or is it exposure to the air. Many things.
Love the narrative and the video is so clear,, 🌟 Lana Fayetteville, NC USA 🇺🇸
Oh gosh! That blackberry had definitely taken up residence in that ear canal. I KNEW you were going to say this person had stuck a qtip in their ear! I bet they never do that again. Was it uncomfortable due to normal jaw movement? That was very interesting, and a nice Sunday treat! Thank you for sharing!
Pleeease keep the videos coming!
Love these!!! Thanks!!
Thank you. It seems like it's a tar substance
Is olive oil your last resort to get stubborn things out of the ear? 🫒
