My review of the modern classic, the Orient Kamasu diver. Arguably one of the best deals out there for around 200 USD/EUR. This watch offers great value with an in-house automatic movement, a sapphire crystal, 200 meters of water resistance and a decent bracelet. All of this comes in a nice and compact package which makes the watch great for a smaller wrist, without compromising the wrist presence. HOWEVER, it’s not all positives for this watch. Stay tuned towards the end of the video to hear my issues with the Kamasu. (Or skip right to that part)

Is there a glass case-back mod for this watch?
Thx for the video, nice watch but it deserves a better bracelet (strapcode) btw what is your wrist size?
Thanks for a valuable review, even if I am a bit late to comment. So far I have only one Orient (Star) and find Kamasu very attractive watch. But I will go for the II model, which in my opinion has better looking indicies.
Is Maen Hudson 38 a good watch to buy? I wanted to buy a Kamasu 2 but my hand is too thin (6.2inch) for kamasu.
Is Maen Hudson 38 a good watch to buy or i should buy kamasu 2?
I want a watch for life long time coz i will buy this watch from my first income. It will be memorable watch.
What's the best Metal Strap for Orient Kamasu 2?
Mine came with a defective bezel spring that broke after a month of use, and as far as i am aware its not possible to service a orient watch in Europe. It was a cheap fix as the skx bezel spring is the same as the one on the kamasu. Also the lume looks more yellow in person than it does in videos. But still a great watch if you like the style

Save $100 and get the Ray2 or Mako2 if you don't need a sapphire crystal. The Kamasu, Ray2, and Mako2 all have the same F6922 caliber.
No watch is perfect, but this is amazing value. It also tells the time.
Nice and thorough review. Thank you. I have owned both this and the Ray 2. Considering the $200 price tag, I haven’t been able to find a new watch yet (other than Allie Express brands) that can beat the specs of this watch. If you want a solid and respectfully done daily diver with sapphire for an affordable price, this is still it. I think buying one if these slightly used on a Strapcode bracelet is the way to go. I see them for around $175 in great shape on a Strapcode all the time.
Hi. Great balanced review, i just saw the crown issue you mentioned in another review, so it seems a common problem. I totally agree on the noisy dial, that's why i opted for the Ra-ac0k.
Amazing review, it’s 350$ now in India. Subscribed. Kudos!!
I luv my blue dial kamasu too much…. 11/11/21
I didn't think my Kumasi was all that until I compared it to the Bulova 666 devil diver. This besal on the 666 was terrible. The sound was horrible.
Now I treasure my orient and won't stop wearing it!
Nice review. The dachshund is a welcome addition. Keep them coming please.
just be thankful that the case back is not glass
Great review. Have a red one incoming this Friday, can’t wait.
Picked this up not too long ago, love it. Been wearing it everyday. Only problem was that it ran pretty fast. So whenever I go to bed, I just rest it with the crown pointed upward and It keeps the the time almost perfect everyday. Havent had to adjust it for a while.
I've been lusting for the red dial Kamasu for quite some while now. Been hesitating as I think the Rays, Makos etc still feel more affordable considering price levels here. The only thing I'd kinda get for this way higher price is sapphire glass and that stunning red dial. And still with a sub par bracelet. You have some good points here on that matter.
new sub here! congratulations on 1k brother, keep going. loving the contents 🙂
can't go wrong with the black dial. boring, but always timeless

I have the blue dial Kamasu myself and really liking it. Just found your channel for the first time. Good review and great content!
The islander from Marc at Long Island watch is a contender
One sub for you my friend🇮🇩,the best one watch👍

Great review Anders, you raised some good points. Today I got to hold a Kamasu for the first time for a couple of minutes and I was really impressed with it.
not sure why people still mention skx its ridiculous priced
Great review. Was looking forward to it. My personal Orient Diver history started with the Mako II, Kamasu black and end up with the green version of the Kamasu. In summer the green looks really like green and is very special and in winter time it nearly looks like a black so even more versatility. Beside the pros you have mentioned I fully agree about, I think it is the most elegant Orient Diver although the dial/bezel has maybe too much markers on it. I think it is the overall design mixed with the case size that makes it more elegant for me. I kind of compare the design to the first generation of Longines HydroConquest. Although both watches are very much different the 39mm HydroConquest is overloaded on dial / bezel as well but still looks so elegant. On the crownguards I believe that Orient wanted to keep this elegant design by adding this thinner crownguards, but I agree that this could be solved much better. On the caseback I totally agree, very boring caseback. On the crown itself, I believe that it is a technique used here that makes the crown moving around in the open position. If you look closely the crown loses the safety of the crownguards if you open it up and the non tight action of the crown provides again a little bit more security by moving around. Otherwise it would be too stable and risk on break would be higher. Other companies like Vostok also use this technique. The bracelet is ok but as you said there is enough room for upgrades maybe get a better bracelet.
How many links do you have at the 12 o clock and 6 o clock, respectively, with the stock bracelet?
👌 Thanks and congrats Anders ! I am still not sure which one to get btw this one and the ray
I see some small imperfections on the second link on the bracelet, are they noticeable irl? First time I came across your channel, you deserve more subs man!
One thousand subs right behind the corner! I bet this video will brake that milestone 💪
