5. Interesting to wonder what level of wealth a “typical” owner of a 1907 St Gaudens had. And what could he buy with it? (or several of them) Since their value was so compact, he probably owned (but didn’t carry on him) quite a number of them.
   I likewise wonder about the gold 50 peso coins back in 1921-1947 Mexico in this way. Probably an even wealthier person could only own those back then. And what could he buy with one? Some large fraction of an estate?

   While we’re on the subject I picked up a modern new eagle today my first. Starting 2023 off. Sorry Buffalo fans but the premiums are about 50% off on the eagles currently at SDB.

9. The 2009 UHR was the first gold coin I purchased. Bought mine from the mint when they first came out. I paid a little over $1200 for it. They are beautiful!!!

11. My favorite parts of this coin?

    It's UHR. The high edges prevent it from showing any scratches and can be is very durable against scratches and is very sensitive for normal use.
