I think your ideology is wrong, if you watched the ICT 2022 model and fully understand it, you'll know that the only reason why the price traded above that imbalance is because there was no shift+displacement therefore making the retracement to FVG an invalid entry
All of this must happen for your entry to be valid
1. Liquidity grab (SSL/BSL)
2. A shift to the opposite direction
3. A displacement that casues BMS
4. FVG created
5. Retracement to that FVG/OTE is your valid entry
You can still go wrong with all these, remember nothing is 100% and do not expect everyday perfection

One more thing, I am back testing currently, when you pair the imbalance with OTE it is very very very powerful. I haven't seen one red trade on my demo account since I discovered this while studying. It all then made sense. Right now I am still testing it on Forex.
Combining FVG, OTE, Importance of time and price as well as the specific kill zone is lethal!!!
Your wrong, a smaller essay for you, it retraces down to fix buyside imbalances. it returns up to continue impulse move up or correct imbalance it made when it went down skips over it. takes the stops the market offers nothing higher so returns to the downside and fixes the imbalance it skipped over. your a trader, but. your analysis is wrong. it only took me 20 secs to see that you were wrong hindsight is easy.

The second example is really really bad. Its on a 1 minute chart so the move down that caused the imbalance down was a retracement to fix the the buy side move imbalance. The buy side move was part of an impulsive move up. The market has only hinted at going down with the imbalance to the downside. Markets don't reverse without somesort of sideways movement first which the downside move has not down. The sideways movement happens after the stop run, AFTER THE STOP RUN THERE ARE THREE RETURNS TO THE GAP CREATED THAT YOU REFER TO THAT IS THE ACT OF REBALANCING THE INEFFICIENCY. YOU YOU DIDN'T SHOW THAT YOU MAKE IT SEEM LIKE THE RETURN AND THEN THE STOP RUN REBALANCES IT IS NOT THAT IS REPRICING. and if you look closely there is a gap after the stop run when it goes down, price is drawn to it to deal with that gap. It fails to go higher and now you have confirmation that it is going down. The second explanation is wrong!
