2. Tesla's mkt cap will be bigger than Apple because the addressable market for Tesla products ($50k cars, solar roofs, energy, fsd? ) is larger than Apples ($1000 phones and software). Of the current top 10 companies by revenue, 8/10 are energy and auto companies. So even a lower ROIC will achieve much bigger market cap because the $ TAM size is bigger

3. Gali, you need to fact check your guest. He is making up his own numbers. If you run a proper ROIC calculation, Tesla creates a lower ROIC than Toyota, VW and GM. Only Ford comes in lower.

9. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼. Great interview guys. 👍. Roic has been the reason why I got hooked on Tesla. When they purchased the Fremont factory from gm and tm in 2010 for under $50 mil. Capital efficiency is key! Good job guys!

23. The assumption is that Tesla product demand grows endlessly. That's a BIG assumption as competition grows over time. Not saying it couldn't happen, just that the fanboi assumption that infinite Tesla income is "in the bag" is assuming a LOT.

    If Tesla keeps screaming upward a long way over time by selling more and more cars with rapid growth, I'll end up selling half now and again, just like I did with MSFT between 1997 and 2000, selling half whenever it split.

    But I believe in diversification and that the future isn't at all completely knowable. There's a big reason it's very hard to actively trade and outperform the overall market, over time.

27. If you look at EBIT don’t compare to market cap but to enterprise value. Because from EBIT you are not just paying dividend and reinvestment but also interest on debt. Market cap excludes the debt. Enterprise value covers both market cap and debt.

36. technical factors don't necessarily determine business valuation. It's how much users and customers love the business products that determines it.
