I was planning on posting this video on Monday but in the instagram poll you guys wanted it today! Enjoy 🙂
Love these stock portfolio insight & update videos!
Why visa over MasterCard?
I’ve been looking at Visa too!
KL been on a bit of a run😳
Hey Brandon, learning lots from your videos was wondering what your opinion is on the stock Real Estate & E-Comm Split Corp (RS.TO). Has a super high dividend yield wondering if you could explain why companies have such high yields compared to others. Keep up the amazing work with the videos, thanks!
thanks for these videos, truly appreciate it
Great opportunity to buy the dip, I'm confident this is more a correction than a selloff so great portfolio change there, Brandon!
Great overview Brandon! I like what you said about this company being the dominant leader ready to take an even more dominant position with the global payment trends happening right now. Good coverage on the profit margins and "buy now pay later" movement…its just a matter of staying ahead of the curve. Well Said.
I'll never argue with anyone buying V for their portfolios… One of my all-time favorites. I'll be hoping it drops a bit more, so you can get your cost basis as low as possible. Great sale in KL… I'm a big believer in selling when the original investment thesis changes for the worse and that sounds like the case here. On to the next one… Hope all is well Brandon.
I also bought Visa last week at 220
Decided to go for it too and picked up a few V today. May buy more throughout the week depending on how the price goes.
Buy HITI
Wow Visa is looking like a great pick. Btw the VISA CDR will be listed on the NEO Exchange on October 5 for those who with Canadian accounts and want to hold the stock CAD-hedged rather in USD
In Beavis we trust.
I loved KL's fundamentals but also sold due to uncertainty. I'll be adding to my FB position today if my order fills.
I recently subscribed to your channel. Thank you both for sharing your knowledge about investing. It really helps. Please post a video about the new Canadian Bitcoin ETF (ETC:TSX) which was launched on October 1st. Thank you.
Great video, thanks for sharing!
Brandon for Prime Minister!
👍
I sold all my KL as well. Bought with your guidance in the winter.
Great video Brandon! Enjoyed the content.
Owned visa since 2012 and it is 15% of my nest egg. I only sell to rebalance. It’s a great solid investment. Having said that,I’ve waited a year to sell one of my positions at a huge profit of 12 bux. Sometimes one just makes the wrong choice, but 12 bux is 12 bux. The key is to just know the quality of company that you’re investing in. Kirkland is still a great company as is agnico, but I wouldn’t ever pick either of those over VISA. You made a good choice.👍
i also sold KL after thebhorrible merger deal ~$49. Tony will be new CEO at AEM but not sure how he will perform at a new company.
If it’s good enough to screenshot, it’s good enough to sell.
Thank you so much for the video buddy!!
Looks like a really good move, Brandon. Usually in a merger/takeover, the company being bought out usually sees its stock shoot up because of a premium offered by the buyer. This time, it’s only a 1% hike and that’s why KL investors sold off because there’s no incentive to stay.
Like you said, Agnico has different goals and practices, so this is a good reason to sell. Some reports say that Agnico may unlock more revenue from KL assets, but who knows?
Thanks for sharing a good reason to sell a stock, Brandon!
thanks for the info. as always, love these videos brandon!!!
I bought Kirkland Lake Gold at near All Time Highs so I've been down on the investment since August 2022 and "can't" sell.
Apparently Agnico has debt while Kirkland does not, and they bought out Kirkland at a discount, so we investors are getting shafted in the short term. The PR wants us to believe the new Agnico merger will be "synergistic" and beneficial over the long term.
Your are doing it wrong, because stagflation is around the corner.
Brandon, thoughts on Lightspeed (LSPD) and Nuevi on TSX as growth payment companies? Good work as always!
Got myself Visa. My portfolio tends to be stocks in which I buy and hold until I am near retirement…then that's when I sell my growth stocks for more income dividend stocks. I got myself Visa too this week, didn't realize it was that down from their previous highs. I am thinking of buying JPM, as a buy and hold investor, should I buy it now…it just doesn't seem to wanna drop lol Should I just buy it now know that I will probably have it for a good 15 years…or should I wait for next market crash to buy it which maybe soon or in a decade…who knows.
Brandon do you consider valuation in your choice?
